Full Screen is a cheap scam invented by Hollywood to con you out of 30% of the film you bought. Basically, the only way you would care about such a thing is if you are an avid movie collector/watcher or James Rolfe.

History

At least 100 years ago, some guy invented a new way to compete with television, "Widescreen". This was innovative yes, but no one gave 2 flying fucks since their TVs (if they had one and weren't poorfags) were in the original aspect ratio (now called "Full Screen"). Thus, in years to come, the pointless battle between Full Screen and Widescreen videos began.

Why should I give a fuck?

Watching a Widescreen movie on a Full Screen TV creates a "letter box" effect with black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Since Americunts are lazy as fuck and can't use a zoom button on the remote or God forbid they haul their greasy asses closer to the TV to see the screen, the Full Screen DVDs are produced in a "Pan and Scan" effect. This is when the movie is zoomed in on and the frame is sloppily thrown left and right to catch all the action. It may seem professional but through comparison, it looks like a rhino with tourettes running around with a Flip-Video.

If you don't own a widescreen television you're basically fucked since Widescreen means half the TV is black and you need a magnifying glass for that shit. Full Screen means everything is blurred and shaking around.

In other words, stop your fucking crying and torrent that shit.
