I think it's the frame count, I don't think the media wiki hooha can handle large frame counts. The originally had ~100 frames, this one has 60 and it works fine. I also unchecked the "Remove Non-Visible Animation Elements"...although that probably didn't make a difference (because I've uploaded stuff before where it was checked and it created the thumbnail just fine). Mmmm, it could also be the FILE SIZE rather than the frame count...like if it's over 1.5 MB it might be too much for the media wiki hooha to handle/process. --Onideus 18:05, 9 May 2013 (EDT)

and that was after I already cut off a couple megabytes by reducing the color count just so that it would upload. Looks good. I'll talk to e about fixing the images. The max upload size is 2mb, we should be able to make it so that the wiki can display everything that can be uploaded. --Mantequilla (talk) 14:32, 10 May 2013 (EDT)
