- the banned user is popeye squirm (he goes by several names), and they stopped allowing edits after some rascal cleaned up some redlinks on the front page in a humorous way. you have to request "writer" privs by email before you are allowed to edit. -hipcrime

- She wants to turn it into a blatant rip off of "Know Your Meme", complete with dry, boring, detached articles completely devoid of any humor or satire...which is kinda dumb, cause at least then she'd be doing something ~slightly~ different than "Know Your Meme".
- Mmmmm, forgot to mention, they might be banning all new users because they don't have enough people to clean up/monitor/stop spammers and article deletion and so forth. I've seen that on a number of other small time wikis. A lot of them shut off new user registration completely and switch to a personal e-mail approach for setting up new accounts.
