SO ORIGINAL!

I like how they ripped their name off of a classic book character:

I'm guessing the rest of their shit is all ripped off of other sources as well. *nods*

Is there anything original these days?   21:25, 29 April 2013 (EDT)
Yes, actually. I have a particular rant about it as a matter of fact:
As far as wanting to be original, the trick is evolution and synergy. Don't take raw, whole concepts out of something and copy and paste them onto your Mary Sues. Rather take basic CONCEPTS and forms and then use them to develop NEW versions of old ideas and COMBINE parts of basic concepts to create new concepts and forms.
Also don't limit your media/interest exposure to such a small form like anime, or tattooing, or computers, or art, or cooking, or whatever else you can think of. There's a whole WORLD of media, interests, concepts, ideas, philosophies, etc out there to be seen, studied, experienced. Most "popular culture" forms don't even scratch the surface of the Brobdingnagian plenipotentiary of interests that are out there in the world.
And don't limit yourself to any form of definitive based thinking. There IS NO "right" or "wrong", the point at which you come to a conclusion is merely the point at which you got tired of thinking. Anything can be argued from any point of view or perspective and twisted into anything you like.
To be truly open minded you must accept that every concept and belief can be both "right" and "wrong", the only relevant factor is the CONTEXT in which it's presented and argued from. Alter your perspective to a different form of context and you can "believe" in what anyone else believes in from their particular point of view. Similarly, you can "like" anything, even things that you ~don't~ like by nature using the same form. Also, don't just listen to what people say, but rather think about WHY they're saying it. Same with other things, don't just look at what something is, think about WHY it is. Alter your perspective, constantly, try and see the same thing, situation, person, conversation, experience in different contexts.
Studying and learning are also VERY important, especially logic, psychology, sociology, history, philosophy and religion. Understanding why people do what they do, why you do what you do and why the world exists and functions in the way that it does are key to gaining self actualization. You might not think it, but that's a *VERY* important thing when it comes to originality. Most people on the whole tend to be pretty superficial in their character...and if you've a static, flat, boiler plate personality type, well...originality isn't gonna be one of yer strong suites. The world reflects from YOU. If you're dynamic, well rounded, then the world will reflect as such. You'll see constant, endless possibility, pouring over each other like a tidal wave of creative energy following through the world.
Likewise overcoming your inherent psychological limitations and needs is also key, as depicted on 'ol Maslow's Hierarchy Of Needs. Egoism and the need to be "better" than others as well as greed and a wanton desire for MORE are a couple of the hardest ones to overcome.
Destroying your own ego isn't very easy, but once you do you'll achieve a new level of freedom and experience like no other. Watch this...
I, Matthew Moulton, do hereby openly admit to being a donkey raping shit eater! :D
LOL
See? Just "words on a screen". Words only have as much power and meaning as YOU choose to give them. You are always in control and the thoughts, opinions, ideals, beliefs, etc of others are wholly irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Every single person you've ever met in your entire existence will be DEAD in less than a 100 years...and in the whole of human history, not a single one of them will be remembered for much of anything...least of all whatever small minded, backwards, fuckwitted little NONpinions they had about you and your life.
As such, ego is entirely irrelevant, there's no need to concern yourself with trying to impress people who simply do not matter in any way, shape or form. If you're trying to be "original" to impress anyone...then you likely never will be.
Kinda long (it's "book material") but it's a good primer to use. --Onideus   01:22, 30 April 2013 (EDT)
