#BanGene is a social media campaign which aims to get Gene Simmons (Hebrew: חיים ויץ) banned from radio stations, which nobody listens to anyways, not even your parents.

He already irritated The Huffington Post a couple days prior with a dastardly suggestion that immigrants should learn to speak English. However, the rage started later during an interview with SongFacts.com, Gene threw gas onto a soldering campfire when he said that bitches with depression should kill themselves. And coincidentally enough, a couple weeks later a boss-bitch named Robin Williams did the world a favor.

(((Nose-match: 100%)))

Radio ban

Still loved by women everywhere.

Unfortunately for Mr. Simmons, things are a little difference since the rise of social media, speaking your mind can be a bad thing and free speech is no longer tolerated. Shortly after his comment about suicide, the #BanGene campaign was born, created by intolerant crybabies who successfully got the attention of radio stations that are also managed by a bunch of intolerant crybabies. They vowed never to put Gene Simmons on the air again, failing to realize that anyone with an internet connection probably listens to Pandora anyways.

At this point Gene Simmons realized that his latest blunder could impact his bottom line and did what any Jew would do, back peddle. He deactivated his Twitter and in a moment of anti-lulz, issued an apology on his Facebook which he also would have closed if it wasn't for FarmVille.

Some bassist from Motley Crue, butthurt over the attention Gene Simmons was getting, cried on the radio and on Twitter, asking Gene Simmons in a non-rhetorical question if he should have killed himself when he was suicidal. If he has decent life insurance, the answer from his wife and four kids is definitely a yes!

Past endeavors

This isn't the first time that Gene Simmons has put his foot in his mouth. During an NPR interview in 2002, he bragged about having sex with 4,600 women and followed that up with a remark which made him look like an egotistical pig. A few years later he managed to offend a bunch of Muslims by describing Islam as a "vile culture." An ex-girlfriend even got in on the action, in 2006 he was forced to settle out of court with her for something he said the year before.

Gene Simmons' most recent controversy was between 2006 - 2010 when he took a courageous stand against music piracy, even threatening to sue people and threatening not release any new songs. Apparently he isn't happy with the millions he already has. These shenanigans resulted in a beat down by Anonymous when they DDoS'd his website. When this didn't shut Gene Simmons up, a follow up attack was launched.

TL;DR

Everyone needs to KISS and make up.

Quotes

Drug addicts and alcoholics are always, "The world is a harsh place." My mother was in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany. I don't want to hear fuck all about "the world as a harsh place." She gets up every day, smells the roses and loves life. And for a putz, 20-year-old kid to say, "I'm depressed, I live in Seattle." Fuck you, then kill yourself.

I never understand, because I always call them on their bluff. I'm the guy who says "Jump!" when there's a guy on top of a building who says, "That's it, I can't take it anymore, I'm going to jump." Are you kidding? Why are you announcing it? Shut the fuck up, have some dignity and jump! You've got the crowd.

I was wrong and in the spur of the moment made remarks that in hindsight were made without regard for those who truly suffer the struggles of depression. I sincerely apologize to those who were offended by my comments. I recognize that depression is very serious and very sad when it happens to anyone, especially loved ones.

Somewhere along the line, my intention of speaking in very directly and perhaps politically incorrectly about drug use and alcoholics has been misconstrued as vile commentary on depression. Unkind statements about depression were certainly never my intention.

I'm actually saying the thing that needs to be said because the politically-correct climate is bullshit. You don't want to upset anybody by saying, 'Learn to speak goddamn English.' So, as an immigrant, I'm telling you: learn to speak goddamn English. It is the key that will unlock the keys to the kingdom.

How about this: if Siri can't understand you, you're in trouble.

If you want to welcome me with open arms, I'm afraid you're also going to have to welcome me with open legs
