Brandon Michael Fleury is a 26-year-old autistic edgelord high school dropout from Santa Ana, California who idolizes serial killers and mass murderers and is basically incapable of interacting with other people in a normal capacity. In December 2018, when Brandon was 22, he used thirteen different Instagram accounts impersonating Nikolas Cruz and other notorious murderers for the purpose of harassing survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. He sent the traumatized teens and grieving parents such unprompted messages as:

• "Your grief is my joy."
• "I'm your abductor I'm kidnapping you fool."
• "I killed your loved ones haha."
• "I gave them no mercy."
• "Did you like my Valentines gift? I killed your friends"
• "With the power of my AR-15, I erased their existence."
• "Little Alex Schachter will never play music again."
• "With the power of my AR-15, you all die."
• "I took Jaime away from you. You'll never see her again hahaha."
• "With the power of my AR-15, I take your loved ones away from you PERMANENTLY."
• "I killed your sister. It was fun. She had her whole life ahead of her and I fucking stole it from her."

Arrest and Trial

In January 2019, Brandon woke up to federal agents at his front door serving an arrest warrant for interstate cyberstalking and threatening to injure or kidnap. He refused to cooperate, and in response the FBI was forced to use an explosive device to extract him from his bedroom.

At trial, the prosecution presented Brandon as a dangerous murder fetishist who had literal sexual fantasies about Nikolas Cruz and Ted Bundy, and would probably have gone on to commit mass murder if his behavior continued unchecked. His defense lawyers tried to argue that he was only doing it for the lulz and that an autistic person could not be reasonably expected to understand that their own actions might have repercussions, but the judge was having none of that shit and found him guilty on all counts. On October 11, 2021, Brandon was sentenced to 66 months in federal prison.
