ALYS

ALYS was planned to be VoxWave's first VOCALOID, as well as the first French language VOCALOID. She was going to be for the VOCALOID 3 engine and would have both a French and a Japanese voicebank if her crowdfunding campaign succeeds. However, on July 12, 2014, it was announced that ALYS would be available for the CeVIO Creative Studio and the people from the crowfunding are now fucked up because the VOCALOID project was dropped with a lot of goodies made with their money. Then the Drama come, because Alys wasn't planed on CeVIO and the demo were made with an Utau crappy bank.

"As I have been using for several years various free solutions, I chose to use UTAU — after comparing it to other software such as Cadencii, NiaoNiao or NameWave.Indeed, today UTAU is to me the most stable free interface, although optimized for the Japanese and not for the French. That is why in this context, ALYS’ vocal library is still very hard to use, and it is also why we choose not to publish its prototypes.

This interface also has the advantage of allowing to choose one’s own synthesis engine (or “resampler”, as designated by UTAU users). This way we could early in the project use the widest possible set of freely available technology. This is also why ALYS’ timbre has changed between ”Dans mon Monde” and “Avenir”: the engine has been updated after the publication of the first song."

Voxwave said Alys isn't really an Utau because they use a different resampler so an Utau + TIPS isn't an Utau it's a TIPS.

Then the drama with voxmaker come because they stole Shindehai's rights on the songs.

On December 11th, it was announced that ALYS would release on March 10, this time for Alter/Ego and her voicebank is really bad.
