Backtrace Security is a group of butthurt ex-Anons who go by Asherah and hubris (Power words: Jennifer Emick and Jin-soo David Byun, respectively) who teamed up some time in 2011. They gained a lot of media attention in March of that year, due to their releasing dox on members of AnonOps (Despite only getting Sabu right), and again in March 2012 when they were identified by news sources all over the interwebz as the first group to successfully dox Sabu, despite the fact that the [Party Van|FBI] had already been watching him, due to his being a fucking retard. Jen and hubris like to claim that the FBI ordered them to take down their PDFs full of anon dox, or suffer the consequences, but given that Sabu was the only person they got right (Which places their accuracy somewhere below Daniel Brandt's), this is considered unlikely. It's more likely that they decided to delete fucking everything out of a case of troll's remorse or fear of the inevitable.

DEFCON 19

The mating ritual of lolcows

Somehow, these two failures conned their way into getting a panel at DEFCON, thereby showing how hard up DEFCON was for talks that year. The "panel" consisted of Jen trying to related the history of Anonymous, amidst hubris yelling memes at the audience that stopped being funny in 2005, and the audience being a bunch of unruly newfags. Eventually, Fox took the stage with an anon and a guy wearing a Pedobear mask (SRSLY). Fox and Jen had been having a war of words on Twitter in the weeks leading up the DEFCON, which included her incorrectly doxing him as some poor fuck who is probably still rotting under a prison. After being laughed at for being unable to dox her way out of a wet paper sack, Jen and Fox yelled at each other some more, and the panel eventually ended, long after the cameras stopped rolling.
